Construction Rules

Current Construction Rules


These cars are raced in an anti clock wise direction and spend most of there time sideways providing some awesome entertainment.

    Chassis must be 1/10th scale tub type ,Shaft/Belt driven 4 wheel drive such as Ansmann ARE1, Tamiya TT01 and HSP Flying Fish
    Locked diffs are permitted
    ESC's (electric speed controller) may be used with a maximum rrp of £65.00
    Any 1/10th wheel may be used with a maximum offset of 9mm
    Ansmann or T Drift  solid type drift tyre's to be used ( Different heats for each type of tyre)
    No tyre additives to be used                                            
    All motors are to be sealed can type, Permitted motors are Mardave G1 or G2 , Tamiya RS540H with either black or white end bell, Hunter systems RS540 with fan, HPI Saturn 27t, Ansmann Clash 28
    Any 6 cell battery may be used.
    Spur gear and pinions are free.
    Body shell's MUST be 1/10th scale Brisca Shell.
    Aerofoils are permitted.
    Suspension is free.
    Cars must have non metallic bumpers .
    Non metallic side rails are permitted .
    No other modifications are allowed , If it's not listed you can't do it.
    Cars are to be painted to look like their full size counter parts. Cars must also display the drivers race number on either side of the vehicle the drivers name must be displayed above the windscreen aperture , No rude or offensive language or slogans to be used .


    Mardave V12 ally chassis.
    Gate bumpers to look like their full size counter parts .
    Mechanical speed controllers with any top plate is permitted.
    ESC's (Electric speed controllers) are permitted with a maximum rrp of £65.00.
    All motors are to be sealed type , Permitted motors are Mardave G1 or G2 / Tamiya RS540H with either black or white end bell, Hunter systems RS540 with fan, HPI Saturn 27t, Ansmann Clash 28

    Suspension must remain as per kit but front and rear springs may be changed.
    Strut braces may be used.
    Steering arms are free.
    Servo savers are free.
    Wheels and tyres are free (no ball raced front wheels).
    Minimum Tyre Dia 45mm
    Maximum 50t spur gear
    Minimum size pinion 12T
    Body shells are to be ABS Pre 1970 (no lexan body shells).
    No other modifications are allowed , If its not listed you can't do it .
    Cars are to be painted to look like their full size counterparts , Cars must display the drivers race number on either side of the vehicle the drivers name should also be displayed above the windscreen aperture , No rude or offensive language or slogans


Same rules as Historic Saloon Stox's but must be open wheeled
Permitted shells are Ford Model Y, Ford Pop or Fiat Topolino

2 Litre saloon stock cars

This is the fastest no holes barred contact racing you will see with everything from ally  V12 chassis to full custom built home brew GRP and carbon fibre vehicles.

Chassis material is free but must retain Mardave V12 wheelbase and track .
Schumacher Superstox 6 cell chassis may be used
13.5t Brushless system may be used with a single 3.7v lipo battery
 Brushed g2 motor may be used with 4,5 or 6 nimh cells
 Esc's must have a max rrp of £65
 Mechanical speedos may be used
 Diffs are permitted
 Max spur gear size 50T
 Min pinion size 12T
 Wheels and tyres must be mardave foams bearing type front wheels are permitted min tyre dia 45mm
 Gate bumpers to be used
 Bodyshells must be a realistic representation of their full size counterparts
 Cars to display drivers name and race number, no offensive or inappropriate signs or language


Chassis must be as per the standard mardave chassis available in various anodised colours or the 3mm kamtec chassis with the following limitations: -
a.If left to the original kit length, the chassis must be used with a shell that is made to fit its size properly.
b.Countersunk chassis and screw set may be used.
Limousine chassis must be the same thickness as the alloy V12 (maximum 3mm) & must have the correct bodyshell to fit, maximum length for a Limousine chassis with bodyshell is 2 ½' & any Limousine entered must represent a full counterpart.

Bumpers are not permitted

Only 4 cell Sub C NiCads & ni-mh cells permitted, max 5000 Mah for heats and finals, 3700 Ma for D/D  and they must be covered in clear heat shrink or the manufacturers covering with identification clearly visible.

Mardave/Large It/Tamiya mechanical & resistor type speed controllers only. No Electronic Speedos (ESC)

Any type of servo saver permitted.

Rear axle must remain as per kit V12 item with no modifications.
Ball races may only be used on the back axle.

32dp pinion gears only. Pinions minimum.12tooth, max 18tooth. Only standard mardave 50Tooth, 48Tooth & 46Tooth spur gears to be used only.

Derlin gears or any other type are not permitted.

Motors must be the Mardave G1 & G2,   and the Grapner 500 standard, Johnson 540 with plastic endbell, HPI Saturn 27T, Tamiya Mabuchi 540 Silver Can with black endbell, Hunter systems 27t, Anamann clash 28t, All motors must be 27/28 Turns and have all identification labels intact, all tabs must remain untouched. 
(These Identification stickers do not come off).   Heat sinks can be fitted. Use of motor cleaning fluids & additives allowed.

Foam tyres, No tyre additives permitted. Any after market wheel must be of the same diameter as per   Mardave V12, Kamtec, Contact Wheels
Ball raced front wheels are not permitted.
Minimum Tyre Dia 45mm

You may use 2,3 or 4 body mounts, no more or less. These may be of any material, not exceeding 10mm in width and must not protrude more than 10mm through the bodyshell.
Mardave V10 mounts may be used front & rear, if you use the v10 mount, you may use all six mounting points.

The roof fin must be fitted to the roof of the car and must not have sharp edges, and must be plastic. They must have the driver's number clearly visible on both sides.
Driver's name must be visible on the car.

Roof gradings will be updated every 3 months. Please telephone if unsure of your grade. All cars must display correct roof grade, minimum 50mm  wide stripe. Anyone displaying incorrect roof grade will start from the back of the grid.

You may use glue sticks, tape, cable ties, plastic/solvent weld joining plates or plastic door plate in conjunction with nuts & bolts as to their full size counterparts. The above repair methods are allowed anywhere on the inside of the bodyshell only. Neither armouring allowed nor the use of mastic, no double skinned bodyshells unless used as a repair.

No mascots or bolt on engines etc. on the outside of the bodyshell this includes dummys.

Windows must be completely removed as close to original car as possible

The external painting of the car must be neatly finished, with no unsightly, rude or offensive slogans or gestures.

Transponders must be chassis mounted only via non-metallic bracket, no exceptions ! It is recommended you purchase your own transponder, either an mrt or ambrc digital.

Top Decks - Original mardave alley top plate or GRP top plate maybe used, kamtec or large it ones are recommended, any top plate must not protrude past the the steering servo.

Ballast & Weights
Adding extra corner weights or ballast is not permitted.

Battery Retainers
only plastic or nylon permitted, no extra plates inside the car.


Must be 3 wheeled, chassis made of GRP(fibreglass) only
can be custom built from V12 or Ministox parts
No Electronic speedos allowed
Body to be a robin reliant, Regal Van or Rialto
Suspention is allowed


These must be constructed to the Current BRCA Rules
ESC are allowed
Front and rear suspension is allowed
Alloy rear pods are allowed
Cars must have a GRP Chassis
Top Chassis and neft bars to be made of Nylon or Polyproperlene only
Cars may be built from scratch using Bandit, Pinky Cooper,Mardave and Oneoff Models Components and these can be mixed.
No Diffs or Brushless Motors
Standard foam tyres only
Roof Spoilers are allowed and may be superstox, Tamac or Shale
